On 2nd November 2021, XPO Logistics released its third-quarter earnings numbers. The total revenue increased from $2.6 billion in Q32020 to $3.2 billion. The operating income, however, was down from $138 million in Q32020 to $112 million as there were transaction, restructuring, and integration costs during the quarter. The company reported a net loss of $57 million for the third quarter as compared to a profit of $93 million in Q32020. The earnings per share on a diluted basis came in at minus $0.49 as compared to $0.83 in Q32020. Company CEO Brad Jacobs said that the quarterly revenue numbers were above street expectations. He further stated that the revenue in the third quarter of 2021 was the highest in any quarter in history.
